Are Medicare rebates available?

Yes, a Medicare rebate of $137.05 per session is available. 

 

Do you see people of all ages?

Jackson offers clinical psychology services to adults aged 18 and above. 

 

Do you bulk-bill?

​

The sessions are not bulk-billed, however, the out-of-pocket costs with a Medicare rebate are minimal. See the Fees and Rebates page for more information.

 

Can I book an after-hours appointment?

 

Yes, weekend and evening appointments are available. 

 

Do I need a referral? 

If you are not planning to claim a Medicare rebate, no referral is required. If you are planning to claim a Medicare rebate, you must obtain a referral before your session. 

 

How can I obtain a referral? 

Your GP or psychiatrist will arrange your referral while setting up your Mental Health Care Plan. See the Fees and Rebates page for more information about Mental Health Care Plans.

 

Can I book an appointment for someone else? 

 

To maintain confidentiality, Jackson will only discuss appointments with the individual client attending the session.

Can I see you for in-person sessions?

 

Appointments are available via Telehealth only. This model enables us to keep our service affordable and accessible.

How many sessions will I need?

 

The appropriate number of sessions is ultimately dependant on the individual's preferences and the goals they hope to achieve in therapy. Commonly, clients attend weekly or fortnightly sessions for a minimum of 6-10 sessions.
